Modi government has prepared a special strategy to deal with the corona virus, under which special instructions have been given to the officials of districts and states. The Ministry of Home Affairs gave this information on Thursday. The ministry said in a statement that the strategy adopted for prevention of COVID-19 largely revolved around effectively identifying preventive measures by identifying areas with high numbers of infected people.
Apart from this, actively looking for Kovid-19 infectives, locating people exposed to them, quarantining them, managing treatment and spreading awareness among people are also part of this strategy.
The statement said that the government is also conducting samples of all suspected patients, whether or not they show symptoms. Apart from this, the suspects who are prone to infections and those who are suffering from severe respiratory infections (SARIs) are also being investigated.
At the same time, attention is being paid to districts or cities with (Hotspot Red Zone) due to large number of cases or due to the large number of already infected people. Strict action will be taken against the movement of the infected population.
The statement of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that movement of all vehicles, public transport and exit of these areas on foot by any person will be prohibited. Details of people going out of these areas will be recorded and monitored under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP).
Significantly, till April 14, there have been cases of Kovid-19 infection in a total of 207 districts across the country which could be potential hotspots. Apart from this, selected health workers are also going to 50 houses every day on an average to detect suspicious patients from house to house. Asha, Anganwadi workers and ANM and students of Red Cross, NSS, NYK, and AYUSH are also engaged in this work.
