‘Made in China’ Syringe for Corona Vaccination

Amid the boycott of Chinese goods after the clash between Indian Army and Chinese PLA, government is going to use ‘Made in China’ syringe for the vaccination. The Modi government has sent Chinese syringe for the vaccination to Gujarat.

The syringes that have reached Gujarat have been prepared by the Indian government in China by special order. Their packing is stamped by the Government of India Government Supply.

The Health Department of Gujarat has sent syringes to the districts of Saurashtra for vaccination. A 0.5 ml sugar syringe was also delivered to the Metropolitan Municipality Administration. Also, they have a government note, “Not for Sale”.

Dr. Mitesh Bhandari, District Health Officer, Rajkot, said that the same syringe of 0.5 mL is used in immunization of children all over the country. In Gujarat, vaccination campaigns have been carried out from the Chinese syringe itself for the last 7 years.

On the packing of the syringe reached Rajkot, full details of the factory making it are recorded. It is made by a company named WUXI YUSHOU MEDICAL APPLIANCES.

The company address is 215 Xigang Rd., Dongbeitang 214191 Wuxi / Jiangsu, China. CHINA License number 20010207 as Country of Origin and Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is mentioned as its buyer.
