As per current trends there is neck–and-neck fight between BJP & Congress in Himachal Pradesh. The Congress is currently leading in 33 seats while the BJP seems to be ahead in 32 seats. Clearer picture shall emerge by afternoon.The BJP has been trying to woo voters by highlighting the achievements of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and its plans for the state if voted to power.The BJP has been ruling the state for the past five years but its popularity has waned in recent times due to a series of issues including corruption, poor development and mismanagement of funds. The Congress, on the other hand, has made significant gains in the state in the past few years.
