The investigation of the paddy scam in Haryana was not even completed that another paddy scam has come to light. About 19 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been found to be low in physical verification in five districts. Now the government is preparing to recover money from these rice mills.

Among the rice mills that have been verified, Kurukshetra has the highest stock gap. About 12 thousand metric tons of stock has been found low in rice mills of Kurukshetra. Whereas in the last scam, the entire state was found to have less stock.

According to the information, the Department of Food and Supplies did physical verification of the stock in six districts. Which includes Palwal, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kurukshetra and Kaithal districts.

The department has verified only those mills, which were receiving complaints of irregularities. This fact has been revealed after investigation. Earlier, 1207 rice mills of Haryana had executed 42 thousand 589 MT paddy scam.

The scam was caught in the physical verification of the mills by 300 investigation teams of the Food Supply Department. 1304 rice mills were verified by the investigation teams. Out of which 120 thousand mills got 42 thousand 589 MT paddy less. This cost the government a loss of Rs 90 crore.
