I have always been an adrenaline junkie, since the beginning. I take great pleasure in almost anything that scares as well as excites me at the same time. Having already done skydiving, bungee-jumping, and para-gliding, I decided to do something new and exhilarating this time. I started looking online for such adventurous activities and came across a term called ‘4×4 tours’. It piqued my interest and started reading about it. I found it quite fascinating and decided to give it a try. I started searching for 4×4 touring companies and found Xtreme 4×4 Tours. After going through their website, I decided to take a tour and add it in my list of adrenaline-rush experiences. I did not know then that it would be included in my list of ‘Worst Decisions Ever”.
After going through all the options, I decided to opt for the ‘½ Day Xtreme Tour’. I finalized the 3-hour long tour as it seemed perfect to me. Although, it was a lot expensive than the tours other companies were offering, I still decided to go for it. I booked for the tour to be taken in the evening as it would be more fun.
I reached the place early and saw that the car in which I was going to ride in, was dirty and had a weird smell
coming from it. I met the driver who did not seem to be a fun guy as all he did was crib about how the tour should end sooner. I chose to ignore his irritating behavior and waited patiently.
Finally, the tour started at the given time. The driver seemed to be a novice, as he drove the vehicle really slow, as if he had never taken part in it before. Instead of the ride being fun, it started-off as a boring one. When I told him this, he did not take it light-heartedly. He thought that I was making fun of him and thinking of him as a loser. He suddenly shifted the gears and revved up the vehicle as if he wanted to show his skills. He started increasing the speed and honestly, I felt a scary-rush. All of a sudden, he started cursing and abusive language. I was shocked to hear him say those words.
When I told him to slow down, he did not listen to me. Instead of slowing, he increased the speed and it seemed like he was not in control of himself, and something had possessed him. I requested him to stop the vehicle as I was feeling nauseous but he paid no heed to my request. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a boulder hit the vehicle and as the vehicle was in high-speed, the driver lost its control. I hit my head and it started bleeding. I blacked out and the next thing I remember is I was on a stretcher with my blood still coming out of it
I had to purchase a bandage and wrap it around my head in order to stop the bleeding. I could not even get up as it felt like I was still in that damned vehicle with that insane driver. Neither was I able to click pictures nor could I eat or drink anything. I went home after booking a cab and realized on my way about the terrible mistake I made by booking that tour.
I would advise anyone reading this not to go for any such tour by 4×4 Xtreme tours as they neither have experienced staff nor suitable vehicles required in order to make the tour a success.
