5 US Business Bodies Reach Court Against Trump Visa Rules

trump visa rules

Five of America’s top trade bodies have challenged in court the President Trump’s order to suspend new non-immigration visas for the rest of the year. This challenge also includes H-1B visa which is most popular among Indians. The challengers also include the American Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.

President Donald Trump issued an order last month prohibiting US entry of professionals in several non-immigration categories, including H-1B visas. Trump said that foreign workers will ‘grab’ Americans’ jobs amid the Covid-19 epidemic, which is why it is necessary to take this step.

In this, American companies get the right to appoint foreign professionals in places of expertise. The National Association of Manufacturers, the US Chamber of Commerce, the National Retail Federation, TechNet and Intrax have told the court that not allowing non-immigrant employees to enter will severely affect American companies that need talent.

US Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thos Donohue said that we want these illegal immigration restrictions to be removed.
